About Michelle
Michelle Bias, MA, is a story person. She works with what she calls The Story Beneath the Story — the beliefs we inherit and mistake for who we are. A Systemic Constellations Practitioner and Intergenerational Trauma Expert, she helps people trace the patterns they carry in love, family, money, and self-worth back to where they actually began — often generations before them. She holds a master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology.
On stage, Michelle has spent thirteen years co-founding and running OK, So Tulsa's Storyslam, the nonprofit monthly open-mic storytelling event she co-hosts, and she coaches storytellers preparing for main stage and curated events — as well as professionals who want to use storytelling to move their careers forward. She also co-hosts OK, So Say More, a new podcast from Public Radio Tulsa. Her work extends to public speaking and writing: she is the author of the memoir String Theory, A Life, available on Amazon and locally at Magic City Books, and her second book, Ellipsis, is forthcoming in winter 2026.

STRING THEORY, A LIFE
String Theory holds that everything is made of unfathomably tiny strings; the vibrations of which produce effects we interpret as atoms, electrons, and quarks. A systems perspective holds a similar supposition: The life of a family - the life of an individual - is made up of unfathomably tiny encounters, the vibrations of which create impact across dimensions and generations.
String Theory, A Life offers a prismatic picture of being born into a tradition of addiction, misogyny, and complex love – and then slowly being born again. The little girl and then young woman struggle, often blindly, with the danger of depending on others for her self-concept.
